Anna M. Hawkins, APRN, FNP-BC, HC

Kardia founder and DFW native, Anna began her career in nursing in 2010, starting as a Medical Assistant for an OB/GYN, then earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Navarro College, and later pursued both her Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Nursing through Walden University. Working as an RN since 2011 in various hospital settings, Anna transitioned into the role of an Advanced Practice Provider for Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine in 2021.

In addition to being board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, she is also a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, focusing on holistic health, nutrition and wellness. After serving as a crisis response nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic and walking the journey of recovery with her children after the loss of her youngest son, Anna is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health to provide healing and care for patients who have endured trauma, grief, or suffer from mental illness. 

Anna is available at Kardia to provide care for all stages of life and health, wellness and recovery, as well as advocacy and patient navigation.

Jarvis Garner, MD

Dr. Jarvis Garner is a physician dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in clinical excellence and equity. He is known for his calm, thoughtful approach and commitment to building trust through clear communication and advocacy.

Dr. Garner earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies at Morehouse College, where he developed a strong foundation in the biological sciences and service-oriented leadership.

He completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital, home to the busiest emergency department in the country. This rigorous training provided extensive experience managing high-acuity, complex cases across diverse patient populations, shaping his ability to deliver high-quality care in fast-paced clinical environments.
